Arsenal on Saturday thrashed Charlton 6-0 in a warm-up friendly victory at Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Nketiah scored a hat-trick while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Joe Willock were also on target as Mikel Arteta's Gunners eased to a comfortable win in their first match back in three months.

Premier League clubs have been granted approval to hold friendly matches in the run-up to the restart of the season, with Arsenal back in top-flight action away to champions Manchester City on Wednesday, June 17.

Arsenal posted a series of photos after the game including Aubameyang and Arteta talking by the touchline, players in full kit socially distancing in the Emirates stands, and Kieran Tierney wearing a protective face mask.

Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea have also stepped up their training routines with inter-squad 11-vs-11 friendly games across the weekend.
