Piers Morgan makes Mark Wright quit interview over Soccer Aid taunts

Soccer Aid is all about raising money for great causes through a celebrity football match – but seeing as Piers Morgan's team won, he just couldn't stop bragging about their victory on Good Morning Britain.

Piers was chatting to former The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright about the game on this morning's (June 16) edition of GMB.

Before Mark even video called into the studio, Piers opened the show with ABBA's 'The Winner Takes It All' and danced around with the winner's plate. His colleague, weather presenter Laura Tobin, even warned that he'd be "unbearable" today.

When Mark did call up GMB, Piers taunted him about the result of the match, playing back Mark's missed penalty shot and stating: "You did play a blinder, because only a blind man would have missed that penalty."

Mark decided that he had had enough of Piers' smug gloating and ended the call, saying "Goodbye! Goodbye!"

Piers' World XI managed to win after the penalty shoot-out, where comedian Lee Mack missed a shot for the second year in a row.

The Good Morning Britain duo revealed that this year's Soccer Aid raised a staggering £10 million, with £7 million being raised yesterday and another £3 million coming from other days around the event.
