In the midst of stressful wedding planning, it’s important for engaged couples to spend quality time together, just to remind themselves what all the fuss is about. That is probably what Pippa Middleton and fiancé James Matthews were doing on Thursday night, when they attended the ParaSnow Ball at Hurlingham Gardens in London. According to the Daily Mail, this was the first time the two have ever been officially photographed at an event together (not counting pictures of them on the move going to church with the royal family in January).
Of course, Matthews was kind of beside the point. All eyes are on the socialite and writer, while fashion fans eagerly await what she’ll wear at their wedding on May 20 at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire. However, on this occasion, Middleton wore a slate-blue organza-cloqué floral dress from Erdem’s Resort 2017 collection. The dress, which retails for $2,248, is embellished with crystal flowers on the neckline and pockets, giving it a slightly formal look for the occasion. Middleton accessorized with ice-blue sandals, a silver box clutch, and that giant rock of hers.
The ball was a fundraiser for and celebration of disabled winter-sports athletes, a favorite cause of Kate Middleton’s younger sister. The athletic Pippa couldn’t help but show off her own buff physique in that sleeveless dress. Could those be the arms of someone planning to go sleeveless at her wedding too?
In the weeks leading up to her wedding, the media has paid about as much attention to her workouts and diet as they have to her guest list (which royals will really be there?). She is working out four or five times a week, according to Entertainment Tonight, and she is supposedly keeping to the extremely restrictive Sirtfood Diet.
Whatever she’s doing, she looks radiant in photos from the evening. Maybe wedding planning isn’t stressful for everyone after all.
