Montreal police have arrested a 16-year-old suspect in connection with a fatal shooting in a Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que., parking lot in February.

He was already behind bars in Kitchener, Ont., on armed robbery charges.

Officers found the victim, 42, in a vehicle near the corner of Des Sources and Brunswick boulevards. His death was the fifth homicide on territory covered by Montreal police this year.

Police said two suspects fled in a stolen vehicle. That car was found the day after the shooting.

The suspect is expected to appear in court by video conference on Friday and be charged with first-degree murder.
