Police have made two arrests in the death of a woman who was shot in Winnipeg's West Broadway neighbourhood last month.
Following reports of gunshots on March 12 just after 10 p.m. CT, police found Shania Chanel Chartrand, 21, suffering from life-threatening injuries outside on Spence Street, between Portage Avenue and Broadway.
She was rushed to hospital but died of her injuries.
Police arrested Lacy Sorokowski, 22, and Christopher Ryan St. Paul, 24, on Friday. Both were charged with second-degree murder and Sorokowski was also charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
Both remain in police custody.
