Police arrest, charge 2 people in St. John's for possession of stolen property

RNC say 30-year-old man asked young girls for sex in St. John's park

Police have arrested two people in St. John's after a report of trucks being stolen in Whitbourne.

At 6 a.m. Monday, Whitbourne RCMP reported to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary that one of two trucks stolen from Whitbourne was believed to be in St. John's.

The RNC found the truck and arrested two people, a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman. Police say the trailer attached to the vehicle had also been stolen Monday.

The man and woman have been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
