Police arrest man in Dartmouth bank robbery

Halifax police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with the robbery of a TD Bank in Dartmouth on Saturday morning.

In a news release Sunday, police said they got a report at 10:21 a.m. that a man went into a Portland Street bank, said he had a gun and demanded money.

He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police sent out robbery patrol units and arrested a suspect in the area of Tulip and Beech streets, the release said..

No gun was seen and no injuries occurred.

Police are continuing their investigation into the robbery.
