Police arrest woman after Waterford Hospital staff report drunk driver

A 28-year-old woman was charged Thursday after police received a complaint of an impaired driver at the Waterford Hospital.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said they were called to the hospital around 12:19 p.m., after staff reported seeing a woman who appeared to be intoxicated enter the hospital after parking her vehicle on the rear lot.

Once officers arrived and gave her the breathalyzer, she was charged with impaired driving.

She was released to appear in court at a later date.
