Calgary Police are asking for help finding Gerald Frommelt, 37, who is accused of killing his 23-year-old girlfriend, Jamie Lynn Scheible.
On April 7, Scheible was shot in the northeast Calgary community of Temple. She died shortly after.
Frommelt, a former Hells Angels associate, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder.
In a statement on Thursday, police said they think Frommelt is still in the Calgary area.
"We have reason to believe that people may be assisting Frommelt with evading police."
Police said if someone is found helping Frommelt hide, they could be criminally liable.
He is described as six feet two inches tall and around 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his neck, including a tattoo of a straightedge razor.
Past parole documents that CBC News obtained from the Parole Board of Canada show he has a history of violence against women and was once ordered to report all relationships with females by the board.
According to police, Frommelt is considered to be dangerous. They say anyone who spots him or has information on his location is asked to contact the police non-emergency line, 403-266-1234.
