CHARLOTTETOWN — Police in Charlottetown say they're investigating a suspicious death.

In a short news release posted on the Charlottetown Police Services website late Saturday, officers say they are in the early stages of a suspicious death investigation on St. Peter's Road.

The release says there's nothing to indicate there's any risk to the public at this time.

Det. Darren MacDougall would not provide any further details, but says police are investigating a single death.

There was a large police presence outside a house in the city on Saturday night.

Plastic sheeting covered one of the home's windows.
