Police identify suspects in $500K Lions Bay heist

Money, jewelry, Persian rugs, laptops and gold coins worth half a million dollars are just some of the items thieves made off with from a Lions Bay home last month.

Squamish RCMP have now identified two suspects in the Feb. 15 theft  —  Brenden "Skylar" Eslick and Samantha Pelletier — and are asking for the public's help in locating them.

According to the alert Eslick and Pelletier also stole the home owner's 2003 Grey Toyota Camry with B.C. licence plate 602 JEP to transport the goods. The car has not been located.

Both Eslick and Pelletier are currently wanted on outstanding warrants related to the theft. They could still be in B.C. although they also have connections in Alberta.

"This isn't just a theft of items, these were family heirlooms and had significant sentimental value," said Cpl. Sascha Banks. "The family is extremely distraught over the loss."

Among the items stolen:

- Gold Pahlavi coins.

- Persian rugs.

- 24 carat gold Persian Kingdom earrings, necklace, ring and bracelet set.

- Personal documentation including passports, wills, and deeds to the residence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at (604) 892-6100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
