SINGAPORE — A fight between a man and a woman along Beach Road on Wednesday (6 July) morning is under police investigation after a video of the incident went viral.

The police said that they were alerted at about 9am to the incident.

In the minute-long video, a woman in a black cap is first seen gesticulating at the man, who is in a white minivan, which appears to have a taxi sign on its roof.

As he is about to drive off, the woman kicks the rear of the minivan, prompting the man to exit the vehicle and confront her.

The man, who is masked, appears to raise his hand in an attempt to hit the woman, with the view of the duo momentarily blocked by a roof.

The woman continues to gesticulate and attempt a kick at the man, who can be heard shouting at her.

In response to the woman's attempted kick, the man hits her cap off her head, causing it to fall on the ground, and slaps her in the face.

He kicks the cap towards the woman and walks away, causing her to retaliate by kicking the side-view mirror of the vehicle.

The man reacts by again approaching the woman, who loses her balance and falls backwards.

She gets up to kick the mirror again, prompting the man to rush toward her. This time, he grabs the woman's arm and violently flings her to the ground.

Before the man manages to drive off, the woman twists the side-view mirror and points at the vehicle.

In the video, a security guard from an adjacent building can be seen watching the scene unfold from a distance. He quickly picks up a device from a nearby table and appears to be communicating with another party.
