Police investigate possible arson at vacant home in New Glasgow, N.S.

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — Police in New Glasgow, N.S., are investigating a possible case of arson at a local residence.

Authorities say they received a report of a vacant home on fire on MacLean Street this morning.

Police say the home sustained significant fire and smoke damage.

Emergency Health Services, the Trenton Fire Department and Nova Scotia Power also attended the scene.

After a preliminary investigation, New Glasgow Regional Police say they believe the blaze was set intentionally.

Authorities are now reaching out to the public for help and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
