Police investigate shooting in east Windsor

Police are investigating a shooting in east Windsor.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Windsor police said officers are on scene for "an active investigation" in the 1500 block of Monticello Avenue, in the Riverside area, north of Firgrove Drive.

An officer at the scene told CBC News that a shooting had occurred just before 7 a.m.

Police are advising people to avoid the area until further notice.
