Police lay more child pornography charges against Ottawa man

Ottawa police have laid more child pornography charges against an Ottawa man arrested last year in a police sting.

Police arrested and charged the 31-year-old man on Dec. 13 after he met with an undercover police officer and requested to have sex with her and her two young children.

The man was arrested in a downtown hotel where he had arranged to meet the woman.

He was charged with three counts of making arrangement to commit a sexual offence against a child and two counts of possession of child pornography.

On Tuesday police said they have laid an additional 10 charges:

- Three counts of luring a child under the age of 18 via computer.

- Three counts of possession of child pornography.

- Three counts of making child pornography.

- One count of distribution of child pornography.

He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Police on Tuesday said they examined the accused's computer and found pornographic images of youth aged 12 to 16 and are concerned there are more victims in Ottawa.
