Police rescue 10 ducklings from storm drain

Members of the Greenburgh Police Department Animal Control Unit and members of the Fairview Fire Department worked together to rescue 10 ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain within the town. While mother duck closely looked on, 9 of the 10 ducklings were secured by rescuers in a net. The 10th duckling found its way far in to the storm drain pipe, and was unable to be reached initially. Fairview Firefighters utilized a controlled current of water to move the stranded duckling to the exit of the drain pipe, were firefighters repelled down and recovered it. Mother duck and her 12 ducklings in total were successfully reunited. Great work by all rescuers involved. Video credit Town of Greenburgh Police Department NY
