Toronto police are searching for a man believed to be missing on Lake Ontario.
David Ramphalie, 38, was last seen on Friday morning in the Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East area, but police said he was thought to be heading to the lake to ride in a small, 10-foot boat powered by a trolling motor.
Const. Craig Brister, spokesperson for the Toronto Police Service, said it's one of two boats owned by Ramphalie.
"We're thinking he was going from point A to B... in this small boat, going to the other boat," he said.
But there's been no sign of Ramphalie or his boat, Brister said.
Police have set up a command post in hopes of tracking down Ramphalie and are concerned for his safety.
He is about 5 foot 8, thin and unshaven with a dark complexion.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
