Police began excavating and investigating the grounds of the home of missing Bayview mother, Lyn Dawson, whose disappearance over three decades ago spawned a wildly popular true crime podcast, The Teacher’s Pet.
This footage shows officers commencing the search for Dawson at her home in Bayview, on Sydney’s northern beaches. The Australian reported that police officers would conduct a “hand dig” at the house and would be there for at least five days.
Lyn Dawson went missing in 1982 and her disappearance was kept from police for six weeks. Her husband, rugby league player and teacher Chris Dawson, has long been a suspect, ABC reported.
It’s alleged that shortly after his wife went missing, Chris Dawson moved a student of his, who he was involved with romantically, into the family home.
