Police search rural property tied to suspected murder of Calgary man

2 charged with murder in case of missing Calgary man

Calgary police are searching a rural property south of the city in connection with the suspected murder of a man who has been missing since last fall.

Officers are conducting the search on a site east of Highway 2 at 338th Avenue and 112th Street S.E.

"This extensive search is using a variety of skilled resources and equipment," police said in a release.

Investigators believe Adam Stewart Young, 35, was the victim of foul play. He was last seen leaving his home in the 200 block of 11th Avenue S.E. on the evening of Nov. 20, 2017.

Police said their search at the rural location is expected to take a long time.

"Search warrants are being executed in an effort to recover evidence related to the investigation," police said.

Police said no further details will be released.
