LAVAL, Que. — Police are investigating a recent string of arsons at a Montreal-area daycare.

Laval, Que., police say three fires have been lit since August at the daycare in the Ste-Dorothée neighbourhood.

The most recent fire occurred Nov. 6 just before 7 p.m., when Laval police say a suspect lit an "incendiary device" by the daycare's window.

Surveillance video shows the suspect hurriedly walking up to the building and placing an object on a windowsill before appearing to strike a match or lighter.

Police describe the suspect as a white man wearing a grey tuque, a dark blue coat with a grey hoodie underneath and shoes with orange laces.

They say the other fires were set at the daycare in August and October.
