Police seize $100,000 in drugs, guns from downtown Edmonton residence

Two people are facing more than a dozen drug possession and trafficking charges after Edmonton police seized almost $100,000 in drugs and drug paraphernalia from a downtown residence last week.

Edmonton police searched a the residence at 95th Street and 105th Avenue on Feb 4. Inside, they seized 86 grams of marijuana, 2.5 grams of methamphetamine and around 10,000 prescription pills, including oxycontin and dilaudid.

They also seized numerous cell phones and drug bags, two scales and a replica firearm.

A man and a woman were arrested and charged with 16 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
