Policewoman kicked so hard in the chest she had to have breast implant replaced

A police officer was forced to undergo surgery to have her breast implant replaced after she was violently kicked in the chest during a fight.

The female officer, who has not been named, was attending an incident in Birmingham city centre in January this year.

As a brawl kicked off, Lee Deakin was held down by four or five police officers, according to prosecutor Neil Ahuja.

While the officer was standing near to Deakin’s legs, he kicked out violently, hitting the officer directly on her chest.

Mr Ahuja told Birmingham Crown Court: “She felt an immediate sharp pain in her chest.

“She felt the breath had been knocked out of her and was walked away by one of her colleagues.”

The officer briefly passed out and doctors who attended to her discovered that her breast implant had folded in on itself - and she had to have a £4,200 operation to fix it.

Mr Ahuja added: “She could not bear to look at her self in the mirror.

“She became an emotional wreck. She was very distressed and heart broken.”

Recorder Reynolds said: “She has suffered not just pain and discomfort. She has suffered the humiliation to having to go back to the doctors and have an operation again.

“She has not been even able to cuddle her own child properly. It is absolutely appalling.”

Deakin, 23, admitted inflicting GBH and was given a 20 month prison sentence suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to pay £4,200 in compensation and carry out 200 hours of community service.

The police officer is now back at work.
