New pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic to open in Cannington

A new COVID-19 vaccination clinic is set to open in Cannington on Thursday, Nov. 30.

Eligible Durham residents over six months old can visit the Brock Township Library's Cannington Branch, 38 Laidlaw St. S., Cannington, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Earlier, Durham Region announced a series of COVID-19 clinics in Brock to continue the fight against the virus.

You can book an appointment by clicking here or by calling 1-888-444-5113. You’ll need a telephone number (home or cellphone), home address, including postal code, email address (can be a family support person) and a health card number to book your appointment.

According to Durham Region, people should be aware of the following clinic information before going for a vaccination shot:

- The clinics are large, spread out and will require periods of waiting in line. If you have mobility needs, consider bringing a support person and/or a mobility aid.

- The clinics are a scent-free environment. Do not use/wear any scented products when you attend your appointment.

- There is no food or drink permitted inside the clinics.

- To prepare for your appointment, ensure you have eaten and are wearing a shirt with loose sleeves.

- Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment.
