Popular downtown Mooresville cocktail lounge to close. Patrons urged to ‘stay tuned!’
Known for its collection of antique bourbons and craft cocktails, cocktail lounge 158 on Main hinted at a possible new venture as the downtown Mooresville gathering spot prepares to close permanently on Oct. 1.
In an announcement on Instagram Thursday, management of the food, drinks and entertainment venue didn’t reveal why the lounge will close. 158 on Main debuted during the pandemic.
“The years have been unforgettable, and we are beyond grateful for your love and support,” management said in a letter to its “community, friends, family, team members and musicians.”
The Charlotte Business Journal first reported the upcoming closing.
Decision to close “wasn’t easy”
In gratitude for patrons’ loyalty, 158 on Main management said all drinks will be half-off through Sept. 30.
“It’s our small way of saying thank you to everyone who’s been a part of our journey,” according to the Instagram post.
CharlotteFive on Saturday morning emailed 158 on Main requesting comment. The lounge opens at 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
“This decision wasn’t easy, but we raise a glass to all the memories and friendships we’ve created,” according to the Instagram post. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
Management urged patrons “to stay tuned to see what the next chapter has in store!”
