Popular frozen custard chain adds location in Kansas City’s Northland. Here’s where
In eight short years, the Springfield, Missouri-based chain Andy’s Frozen Custard has grown its number of Kansas City area locations from zero to 14.
The latest is in Tiffany Springs in KC’s Northland. It opened Wednesday at 6000 NW 88th St.
Andy’s is known for its concretes, sundaes, splits and malts. Its menu features more than 25 toppings — everything from pineapples to pretzels to peanut butter cups.
Currently available seasonal offerings include the Pumpkin Pie Concrete, the S’mores Jackhammer (vanilla frozen custard blended with hot fudge, graham cracker and creamy marshmallow) and the 87 Concrete, created by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (vanilla frozen custard blended with Oreo, cookie dough and creme caramel).
Husband and wife John and Carol Kuntz founded the first Andy’s in Osage Beach, Missouri, in 1986, naming it after their son who is now the company’s CEO. The first Kansas City location opened in 2015 at 1200 Westport Road.
