Portage la Prairie RCMP seek 4 teens after robbery with gun, machete

Portage la Prairie RCMP are looking for four teens they say may be a risk to the public after an armed robbery involving a gun and a machete on Thursday evening.

Shortly before 9 p.m., police responded to a robbery call at a home on Hazel Bay in Portage la Prairie, Man. Two victims had been threatened with a firearm and one received minor injuries after being attacked with a machete, police said.

The suspects fled scene in a stolen SUV described as a white 2014 Ford Escape, police said, last seen with Manitoba licence plate HGC 894.

Justice Daniels, 18, and Myles Asham, 19, are both wanted in relation to the incident, along with a pair of 14-year-old boys. All four live in or around Portage la Prairie, police said.

Investigators believe the teens are in possession of weapons and are asking the members of the public to dial 911 if they see the stolen vehicle.

"Under no circumstance should you approach anyone inside," RCMP wrote in a news release.

The four teens face charges of robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and other breaches of court-imposed conditions, the release states.
