Portillo’s, a Chicago-based restaurant chain, to open another DFW location. Here’s where

Portillo’s is expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market with a planned restaurant in Denton.

The Chicago-style food chain known for its hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, announced the Denton location on Tuesday. The new restaurant will be at the Rayzor Ranch Town Center just off Interstate 35.

Portillo’s 7,700-square-foot Denton restaurant will sit over 170 guests inside and an additional 50 on the patio. There will also be double drive-thru lanes, the company said.

No official opening date has been set for the Denton location.

“Growing the DFW market is a clear priority for Portillo’s,” Portillo’s CEO Michael Osanloo said in a press release. “We’ve opened successfully in The Colony and Allen, and will be in Arlington and Fort Worth by the end of the year.”

Portillo’s has been busy in the Metroplex this year, opening its first Texas location in The Colony in January.

The chain opened its second Texas location in Allen last week at 1955 Central Expressway. Restaurant’s in Arlington at 4200 S Cooper St. and in Fort Worth at 2491 North Tarrant Parkway are excepted to open later this year.

A Mansfield location is also in the works at 410 U.S. 287.

Since 1963, Portillo’s has been serving up hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. The chain first started in the Illinois and has since expanded into multiple states in the years since.
