An aircraft repair plant in Taganrog, Russia, may have been attacked on May 26, the Crimean Wind monitoring Telegram channel reports, citing satellite images.

Fires were reported in Taganrog near the 325th Aircraft Repair Plant on the afternoon of May 26.

The fires were located near the runway.

Russian authorities have not officially commented on the possible attack.

Taganrog also has the Beriev Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex, which was already attacked by drones in March, the Telegram channel added.

Drone attack on an aircraft plant in Taganrog on March 9

Explosions were heard in Taganrog, Russia in the early hours of March 9. Authorities reported a mass attack by allegedly Ukrainian drones.

Officially, the Taganrog authorities reported that the attack was repelled by Russian air defenses and acknowledged that only one emergency response worker was injured.

Local Telegram channels reported that the Taganrog Beriev Aviation Scientific and Technical Complex may have been damaged. Russian military bloggers noted that the plant's workshops were used to repair the A-50 UAV of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

At the same time, Serhiy Bratchuk, head of the Public Council at the Odesa Oblast Military Administration, wrote on social media that Ukrainian special services had conducted a successful special operation in Taganrog, hitting a local aircraft manufacturing plant with drones.
