Montreal police and Sûreté du Québec divers continue to search for a 27-year-old man, after he fell out of a boat into the St. Lawrence River on Saturday evening.

Montreal police say three people were in a boat when the motor died around 7 p.m. and they were pulled into the rapids near Verdun.

That's when one man went overboard. After the fall, the other man aboard jumped out of the boat to try to save him, but could not find him in the water.

A search to find the missing man lasted until about 10 p.m. Saturday, and resumed on Sunday.

The two others who were in the boat are recovering.
