Power outage coincides with fallen tree, winds

About 250 Hydro One customers in the Shebandowan area lost their electricity for 12 hours beginning Sunday afternoon after a tree fell on a power line. A Hydro One spokeswoman said crews were dispatched to find the source of the outage after the power went off around 2:20 p.m. High winds were being reported in the area at the time of the outage. Power was restored on Monday at 2:35 a.m., the spokeswoman said. “We thank our customers for their patience as crews worked as quickly and as safely as possible to restore power,” she said.
