Before she got glammed up for Prince Charles' 70th birthday party last night, Meghan Markle attended a private dinner with Prince Harry the evening before. The fête commemorated African Parks, a conservation non-profit with the Duke of Sussex as a royal patron, at Kensington Palace.
No photos of the event were officially released, but a few images, likely taken by guests, have surfaced online. The shots show the Duchess of Sussex accompanying her husband at the formal affair, wearing a little black dress with her go-to bateau neckline.
Meghan wore her hair up in a low bun to show off the gold Pippa Small statement earrings she paired with the classic, simple look. She appeared to be holding a black clutch with the dress, too. Meanwhile, Harry looked sharp in a tux and bowtie.
The Duchess has been seen in a number of black dresses for recent royal engagements, especially the somber commemoration events honoring Remembrance Day in the U.K.
For the official services at the Cenotaph on Sunday, she wore a black button-up coat, accented with a poppy, with a velvet hat.
And at a service at Westminster Abbey that day, she wore a black skirt suit with a more angular bateau neckline.
The night before, she attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, wearing a Stella McCartney coat dress with a silk ribbon belt.
For Prince Charles' birthday celebrations last night, it's possible the Duchess of Sussex wore another dark look. She was seen in the car arriving to Buckingham Palace, and although there are no full images of her gown, a dimly-hued strap from her dress appeared to show from the window.
But Markle's royal wardrobe isn't quite all-black-everything; in the new royal family portraits released for Prince Charles' birthday, she glows in a fresh white Givenchy dress.
