Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is scheduled to pay a visit to the NSCC Waterfront Campus in Dartmouth today.
Trudeau will be there to take in the Nova Scotia Skills Competition, hosted by Skills Canada — Nova Scotia
The event is an "Olympic-style event," with competitions held across the province in more than 40 skilled trades and technology areas, according to a news release from Skills Canada — Nova Scotia Thursday evening.
Bronze, silver and gold medals will be awarded in each competition and most gold medalists will advance to the Skills Canada National Competition happening in Winnipeg this June.
Although the event runs all day at the campus, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Trudeau isn't scheduled to appear until 4 p.m. In addition to visiting the competition, he's expected to highlight initiatives outlined in the 2017 budget.
The prime minister was in Nova Scotia last January for a town hall.
