Prince Charles Keeps a Beautiful Tribute to Daughter-in-Law Meghan Markle in His Home

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand report Prince Charles has a black-and-white version of the photo. Back in 2018, royal correspondent Rebecca English even tweeted that the pic indeed exists and can be viewed by visitors checking out Charles’s official residence. Aside from the small detail, the book takes a deeper dive into explaining Markle and Charles’s close bond.

“[Meghan] found such a supportive and loving father in Charles, which has really changed her life for the better,” a source shared.

Another added what the Prince of Wales really thinks of his daughter-in-law, expressing: “He loves very strong, confident women. She’s bright and she’s self-aware, and I can see why they’ve struck up a very quick friendship. Most of all she’s married to [his] beloved youngest son and made him whole. Charles takes enormous delight and pleasure in that.”

After the duchess’s father had to pull out of the wedding due to heart surgery, Prince Charles stepped in to walk the former actress down the aisle. The best part? Prince Harry asked his father to do it and Charles didn’t waste any time saying yes.

“I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming, and he immediately said ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs and I’m here to support you,’” Harry said in a BBC documentary. “For him, that’s a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know he’s our father, so of course he’s gonna be there for us.”

We’re glad to see the friendship is still going strong.
