Prince George Receives A Pretty Terrifying Gift From Sir David Attenborough
Prince George received a pretty unusual and spine-tingling gift from Sir David Attenborough during their meeting last week.
On Sunday, Kensington Palace shared photographs of the natural historian meeting Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at their London-based home. The Cambridges enjoyed a private, outdoor screening of Attenborough’s feature film, A Life On Our Planet, with Prince William.
In one photo, the six-year-old prince can be seen holding a large tooth while his sister looks on at Attenborough.
Another sees George examining his gift while sat with his father and younger brother.

‘When they met, Sir David gave Prince George a tooth from a giant shark, the scientific name of which is carcharocles megalodon (“big tooth”),’ the Palace wrote on social media, alongside two adorable photos from the get-together.
The sweetest thing is that the tooth had been in Attenborough’s possession for almost six decades.
‘Sir David found the tooth on a family holiday to Malta in the late 1960s, embedded in the island’s soft yellow limestone which was laid down during the Miocene period some 23 million years ago,’ the Palace added.
‘Carcharocles is believed to have grown to 15 meters in length, which is about twice the length of the Great White, the largest shark alive today.’

Earlier this year, Kate noted that Attenborough has a special place in her and George’s heart.
During a video call with children of essential workers in April, the Duchess of Cambridge opened up about her favourite celebrities.
‘The Duchess said that George has been watching lots of David Attenborough, Blue Planet and the like, so that would probably be hers,’ Anita Ghidotti, Chief Executive of the Pendle Trust told Hello! magazine at the time.
In a new clip from the upcoming documentary, Kate says that all of her children are ‘massive fans’ of the British cultural icon.
‘The children were very upset that we were coming to see you and they weren’t coming,’ she said while speaking with the broadcaster. ‘They are massive fans.’
Last week, Attenborough broke the world record on Thursday for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Instagram, according to Guinness World Records.
Attenborough managed the feat in four hours and 44 minutes, knocking Friends actress Jennifer Aniston off the top position after she reached the milestone in five hours and 16 minutes last October.
In his first Instagram video, the broadcaster told followers: ‘I am making this move and exploring this new way of communication to me because, as we all know, the world is in trouble.
‘Continents are on fire. Glaciers are melting. Coral reefs are dying. Fish are disappearing from our oceans. The list goes on and on. Saving our planet is now a communications challenge.’
Other record holders of the title include Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Pope Francis and David Beckham.
