This morning it was announced that Prince Harry and Suits actress Meghan Markle are engaged to be married, with Clarence House confirming the news with a royal statement issued by Harry’s father, Prince Charles.
The statement revealed that the 33-year-old royal will be marrying Meghan in Spring 2018 after he asked for Meghan’s parents’ blessing to marry their daughter.

Meghan’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, have released a statement wishing 36-year-old Meghan and Harry, who have been dating for 16 months, a “lifetime of happiness” together.
They said: “We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents.
“We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.”
Kensington Palace have confirmed that Harry and Meghan will be taking part in a TV interview later on today [27 November], tweeting: “Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle will appear for a photo call at Kensington Palace later this afternoon. Stay tuned!
“The couple will also take part in a broadcast interview to be aired this evening UK time.”
