Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the christening of Zara Tindall's daughter, Lena
With just weeks to go before the birth of their first child, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined members of the royal family to celebrate another baby this weekend.
Harry and Meghan were pictured attending the christening of Zara and Mike Tindall's youngest daughter, Lena. The nine-month-old was baptised on Sunday at St Nicholas Church in Cherington, Gloucestershire and according to the Daily Mail's report, Prince Harry has been given the role of godfather.
The Queen, Lena's great-grandmother, and Princess Anne, Zara's mother, were also in attendance alongside proud parents Zara and Mike. Prince Philip and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge did not appear to be at the private ceremony.
Meghan was pictured wearing a vintage Dior coat from William Vintage, which she paired with a box tote from Victoria Beckham. Despite the high-profile guests in the congregation, an onlooker described the special event as "surprisingly low-key".
"There were between seven and ten police cars discreetly parked in a farmyard on the edge of the village, and we saw a few bobbies dotted around the village," the source told the Daily Mail. "But considering the number of royals in attendance, it was a surprisingly low-key event."
The Tindalls, who are already parents to 5-year-old Mia, welcomed their second daughter in June 2018. Lena is the Queen's youngest great-grandchild, after Peter Philips' children Savannah, 8; and Isla, 6; Prince George, 5; Mia Tindall, 5; Princess Charlotte, 3; and Prince Louis, who will turn one in April.
