Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Privately Congratulated Princess Eugenie on Her Pregnancy Announcement

On Friday, Princess Eugenie confirmed to the world that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. The Queen's granddaughter shared the news on her personal Instagram account with an adorable pregnancy announcement featuring tiny baby shoes.

"Jack and I are so excited for early 2021....👶🏻" she wrote in the caption. Notably, her new brother-in-law, Princess Beatrice's husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, sent the happy couple some love in the comments, with three heart emojis: "💝💝💝." Singer Ellie Goulding also chimed in writing "So soooo happy for you both. Love you 💙."

Additionally, Buckingham Palace announced that Eugenie was pregnant with a more formal statement. It read:

Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.

The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news.

And Eugenie's mother Sarah Ferguson elaborated on her "delight" with social media posts.

"I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child. Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother. Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy," she wrote on Twitter.

But some of mom-to-be's relatives have opted to share their excitement about the pregnancy news offline. According to a source in People magazine, the Sussexes have "sent their congratulations privately" to Jack and Eugenie.
