Prince William and Kate Middleton to Visit Ireland During Sussexes' Return to England

  • The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge just announced they will be taking a trip to Ireland in the midst of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's return to the U.K.

  • The royal couples are expected to make a joint appearance, however, for Commonwealth Day on March 9 at Westminster Abbey.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are expected to return to the U.K. shortly to complete their remaining royal obligations, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a trip on schedule, too.

According to Kensington Palace, Prince William and Duchess Kate will be partaking on a trip to Ireland March 3 through 5, right in the middle of the Sussexes' homecoming.

Per a release from the palace, the Cambridges will be spending time in Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare, and Galway to "highlight the many strong links between the UK and Ireland."

Both Harry and Meghan will be attending different events during their U.K. stay, including Harry partaking in a special recording session with Jon Bon Jovi on February 28 in support of the Invictus Games and Meghan heading an event in honor of International Women's Day on March 8. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are also slated to attend the Endeavor Fund Awards on March 5.

The Sussexes and Cambridges are expected to make a joint appearance, however, for Commonwealth Day on March 9, when both couples will join the queen at Westminster Abbey for the annual service.

Harry and Meghan's visit will mark the last handful of public appearances from the couple as working royals. The Sussexes will officially begin their transition into post-royal life starting April 1.
