Prince William Keeps a Secret Calendar That He Won’t Give King Charles Access To
The vibes appear to be somewhat very tense between Prince William and King Charles lately, largely because William is out here planning his ascension to the throne while Charles is literally still on it. And according to a chatty royal source, William makes an effort to keep his plans completely “locked down.”
“William is very stubborn and private,” the insider recently told Us Weekly. “He keeps his movements and calendar away from Charles’s team to such an extent that he won’t listen to anyone or take guidance from [his father] or his team. He keeps things very locked down and separate.”
The source also noted, “Charles has wanted to be the monarch for decades. Even though he’s battling cancer, he’s not letting that get in the way of his desire to be successful on the throne or a dynamic leader. [William] is preparing behind the scenes for when his ascension happens. Like his father, he takes being a success in the royal role very seriously.”
On top of that, this royal insider claimed that King Charles is jealous over William’s popularity (“similar to how he felt about Diana”) and while they “are close,” they’re also “rivals when it comes to work.”
I mean...sounds awkward to say the least. Oh, and before we go, another person in the know mentioned that William and Kate Middleton “have been preparing for this for many years” and “tey both feel comfortable stepping into greater roles—and [are confident] William can provide a modern way of ruling that everyone will see as a breath of fresh air.”
