Prince William's Stepbrother to Attend Royal Christmas Despite William Threatening to Skip If He Shows Up
Quick update on the OTHER sibling feud happening in the royal family apparently Prince William's stepbrother, Tom Parker Bowles, is likely attending Christmas in Sandringham—despite reports that Wills plans to skip the event if he shows up.
To recap real fast, the Daily Beast reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales were “unlikely to attend” Christmas in Sandringham no matter what, but were “especially” poised to skip if Tom showed up. Meanwhile, another source dramatically told the outlet, “It is best to avoid mentioning Tom around William” because Wills is nervous about Tom’s “rather louche lifestyle as a Mayfair bon vivant.”
Kay!
Anyway, amid all those vibes, Tom confirmed to The Telegraph that he intends to be at Christmas with the royals—and if he does show up, it'll be his first time joining in the festivities.
“My mum said, ‘I’d love you to come, I haven’t had Christmas with you for a long time,’” Tom said. “For the past 15 years, it has been: I go back to my ex-wife’s house, sit in my tracksuit bottoms, go to the pub while the beef’s in, then try to get my children to watch The Wild Geese. Classic. So this would be a bit different."
Tom added that he gets invited to the royals' Christmas every year, but that Queen Camilla specifically wants him to attend this year. Though apparently he has no idea what he's getting into. Ahem “I genuinely know nothing about it. But I know there’s turkey and sprouts and church. And I have to bring a suit and a dinner jacket.”
Welp. This should be interesting!
