From Town & Country

Princess Beatrice no doubt has fond memories of weddings held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. She was by her sister's side just seven months ago when Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank and was of course there almost exactly a year ago when her first cousin Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle.

Today she's a guest at the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor her second cousin once removed. The venue will take on even more significance because Beatrice is accompanied by her boyfriend, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. It is the first royal family event of this scale that the couple has attended together.

Beatrice has allegedly been seeing "Edo," as he Mapelli Mozzi is known to friends, since last fall. While British tabloid the Sun claims the pair only met in September, People reports the couple has known each other for a while now. According to the Sun's source, “Beatrice and Edo have the same circle of friends and were introduced through a mutual chum... They hit it off instantly and have a real laugh together... Things are moving very quickly and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they got engaged within a short period of time."

Though it's far too early to speculate about whether Beatrice and Edo will decide to marry, it's a significant step that they are making an appearance together at an event attended by the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Harry and several other senior members of the royal family.

Ella Windsor is the daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, the Queen's first cousin, while Princess Beatrice is the daughter of the Queen's son, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, making Ella and Beatrice first cousins. Though neither of the women is a working royal-Ella is a writer with publications like the Sunday Telegraph, the Evening Standard, Country Life, and The Spectator, while Beatrice has in the past served as vice president of partnerships and strategy at Afiniti.com, a New York City-based artificial intelligence company-both also regularly appear at royal events like Trooping the Colour and, of course, royal weddings.
