Priyanka Chopra Reveals the Romantic Meaning Behind Her and Nick Jonas’s Matching Tattoos
There's a hidden romantic meaning behind Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's matching tattoos.
In a new interview, Chopra gave a brief rundown of the few tattoos she has inked on her body—including a design that references the "Close" singer's sweet proposal to her.
"I have a check and a box behind my ears. My husband has them on his arms," she said. "When he proposed, he asked me that I checked all his boxes and would I check another one?"
Her other tattoos include a script on the side of her wrist that features her father's handwriting, three differently sized paw prints for her dogs, and a map of the world on her arm. "When I put my arm down, India’s right next to my heart," she explained.
Earlier in the interview, Chopra praised Jonas' calming effect on her.
"My husband is super thoughtful. When he's around, everything feels like it'll be okay," she said. "He's taught me to approach things from a much calmer place. I was a tornado. Still am. Mile a minute, bee in a bonnet kind of person, and he's not."
Chopra and Jonas first got engaged in July 2018, then soon after married in a multiday celebration by the end of the year. In January 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Malti, via surrogacy.
"I think our daughter is the best gift that we've ever received," Chopra said during the interview. "She's loved and surrounded by a lot of people, but when she needs just me, that feeling is amazing."
