Puppy with head stuck in grocery bag melts owner's heart
Lily is a beautiful and mischievous Golden Retriever/Poodle cross who is always up to something. She adores treats and will find them in the most unexpected places, like this grocery bag that was left unattended at the back door for a few minutes. Lily is also very crafty and makes no noise when she is up to no good. Somewhere in the bottom of the bag was something edible and Lily's nose led her quickly to it. Nicole went to get the bag and found Lily with her head stuck through one of the loops. Lily was unable to get free and she stood silently waiting to see what would happen when she was discovered. Lily has mastered the art of looking cute and she puts on her pathetic look, puppy dog eyes, and wags her tail adorably while she tries to get sympathy instead of a reprimand. The routine works because Nicole an her family instantly melt and start offering reassurance. Lily waits patiently to be freed. She wins her forgiveness and then immediately goes back to sniffing in the bag for whatever had lured her in initially. Lily is well loved and always keeps Nicole and her husband, Dan entertained. She also keeps them on her toes with her antics. At 3 months of age, she is extremely energetic and very clever. She has been known to sneak bananas off the counter top, chew chairs and even sunglasses. But Lily is pure cuteness, with a face that you can't be mad at for long. Lily also loves to wander down to the creek at the back of the property and try to play with the fish that migrate upriver. She will chase them and then run away when they turn toward her.
