Quebec police ethics commissioner investigating tear gas incident
Quebec's police ethics commissioner has launched an investigation into an incident last Thursday in front of the National Assembly where a student protester was hit directly in the face with a tear gas cannister.

CÉGEP student Naomie Trudeau-Tremblay, 18, lost consciousness after being struck in the face. Her face is now swollen with a large bruise under her mouth.
Tremblay and hundreds of others were protesting government austerity measures.
In a news release, the office of the ethics commissioner says an investigator will be appointed and deliver a report within 125 days.
Her family says it still intends to file legal action against Quebec City police.
