Queen Elizabeth death: Former PM Chrétien recalls her as 'extremely pleasant person'

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 on Thursday, former prime minister Jean Chrétien reacted to the news. “She was respected everywhere – there must be millions and millions of people who are sad at this moment. And she had a great life and it was always a lot of dignity and she was an extremely pleasant person in private – I had the privilege to meet her for the first time in 1967,” the former prime minister said.
