With just a few weeks to go until Christmas, the whole royal family appears to be getting into the holiday spirit. Christmas trees are going up at royal residences across the U.K., and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been attending festive parties for servicemen and women and their families.

Queen Elizabeth will undoubtedly host her annual holiday lunch for her extended family at Buckingham Palace in the days before Christmas, but earlier this week she attended a seasonal gathering of another sort.

The British monarch was spotted leaving the Goring Hotel on Tuesday, with a present in hand. While the reason for her visit to the storied London institution has yet to be shared publicly, the Daily Mail speculates that she was there for her staff Christmas party.

The logic there is sound. Not only is the Goring the only hotel in the world to hold a royal warrant from the Queen, but the monarch's personal assistant and dressmaker Angela Kelly, and her groom Terry Pendry were also both spotted leaving the property later in the day.

For the event, the Queen wore an icy blue skirt suit, paired with a top-handled black bag, and her trusty black pumps. In terms of jewelry, she kept things simple, opting for a small pair of pearl earrings and what appears to be the Queen Mother's Palm Leaf Brooch, which the Queen has worn many times, including to her meeting with American President Donald Trump at Windsor Castle earlier this year.

If it was a soiree for the royal household, the Queen's staff might have received their annual gift there. Per the royal family's website, she gives out roughly 1,500 Christmas puddings every year.
