Rain lashed the Palmetto Expressway in Doral, Florida, on Tuesday, September 27, as the outer bands of Hurricane Ian affected the southern part of the state.

The National Hurricane Center said the storm was expected to make landfall on Florida’s west coast in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

Residents of Florida’s west coast were advised to evacuate east to areas such as Miami-Dade County, local reports said.

A flood advisory was issued for the counties of Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade on Tuesday.
