Rain, rain everywhere, but not every drop gets captured in California | Opinion

Central California’s rainfall is the subject of this week’s opinion cartoon by SW Parra.

Fresno has received twice as much rain as normal, and some estimates put the water equivalent in the Sierra snow pack at four times normal. Suffice to say, the drought has been broken and this is a big water year, as evidenced by recent flooding.

All the logical places to put dams in California already have them. Still, many in the state still wish for more ways to capture rainfall, as Parra shows.
