Raise Your Voice virtual concert final next Thursday

There’s only a few days left to get your ticket for the Raise Your Voice virtual concert in support of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Gibson Centre in Alliston.

The final competition will be broadcast on June 3.

The Raise Your Voice competition was designed to profile local musicians and showcase their talent while raising funds for community health care and the arts in in Simcoe County.

There were 45 talented amateur musicians who entered the ‘idol style’ com-petition.

They ranged in age from nine to 60.

Of those entries, there emerged three finalists - Luke Martin, Erin Alysha, and Drew Snider, who will be competing for the top spot in the competition.

The grand prize in the competition is a package valued at over $2,000, in-cluding a cash prize of $500, and recording time.

Three notable judges will be watch-ing the final performances and making the decision on who will win.

Up and coming singer/songwriter Sophia Fracassi, who is signed as an artist with Coalition Music, will be on the judging panel.

Marshall Dane, noted award winning country artist, will be selecting a winner.

Rounding out the judging panel is performer Erin McCallum.All three artists will also be performing during the final virtual concert

.“The Gibson Centre has partnered up with SMHF to raise funds for Care and Culture,” said Jennifer Fortin, ex-ecutive director at the Gibson Centre. “Half the money raised this evening will be directed towards our most urgent operational needs and keeping this Alliston landmark alive and accessible.With community donations we can continue to provide artistic and cultural opportunities to this community and thrive once again! We were overwhelmed by the interest and gratitude from our local musicians with over 45 very talented submissions.”

There is still time to get your tickets for the virtual show, which will take place on Tuesday, June 3.

Tickets are $40 for a regular virtual ticket, and $70 for a VIP virtual ticket which includes a bottle of wine and desert.
