Ramp from I-235 north to K-96 west in Wichita will have closures starting Tuesday

The ramp from I-235 north to K-96 west will have closures for construction starting Tuesday through early October, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Weather could push back the opening.

The ramp will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday during that time.

“The ramp closure is necessary to repair the concrete surface, paint bearings, patch deck and repair joints,” KDOT said in a news release.

Wildcat Construction of Wichita is the primary contractor for the work.
